Method of the Ideal Result

Method of the Ideal Result (MIR) exploits both the TRIZ notion of the Ideal Ultimate Result (IUR) and the notion of Resources.

MIR heuristic engages a user in problem reframing and idea generation by guiding her/him in: (1) establishing the direction of evolution of a system under improvement; (2) discovering the natural phenomena holding a system’s evolution back; (3) identifying and utilising available resources.

It is anticipated that a set of educational materials for teaching and self-learning of MIR will be available by 2019. At the moment you may read two papers that demonstrate the use of MIR in improvement of a measurement method and in development of a crash barrier.
